Gathering presents Muralappi Arts: Jessica Skeen. Jessica Skeen is a contemporary Aboriginal artist and founder of Muralappi Arts, an Indigenous family-owned business with a proud legacy spanning four generations. A Biri and Kuku Thaypan woman from North Queensland, Jessica was raised in Logan and continues to live and work there today. Her artistic practice is grounded in culture, storytelling, and connection to Country, with works that explore themes of healing, identity, and community. Through murals, canvas artworks, and functional art pieces, Jessica creates powerful visual narratives that foster reflection, understanding, and connection. Her work has been featured in hospitals, public spaces, and community initiatives throughout Queensland, enriching shared spaces with stories that celebrate Aboriginal culture and lived experience. Dedicated to sharing culture and knowledge, Jessica also delivers engaging, hands-on workshops that inspire creativity while promoting cultural understanding and respect. Join us on Wednesday 30 September, from 12 noon to 1pm, at the Queen Street Mall Main Stage for a special Muralappi Arts display and showcase presented by Jessica Skeen.
